Thomas Edison set his own quotas for ideas: one minor invention every 10 days, one major invention every 6 months. Quite doable.
Very similar to haiku writing recommendations from Jane Reichold: Write down every haiku that comes to you. Even the bad ones. It may inspire the next one which will surely be better.
