1. "Simply haiku" web site: http://www.simplyhaiku.tk/ - will check it out later.
2. It appears that my participation on stihi.ru is over - just got "desyat' let bez prava perepiski" (the administration changed my password, so I can't log in anymore). It's interesting how the totalitarian mentality works. As long as you break all the rules of conduct wrt peers, you are ok. But as soon as you offend someone close to the top, you are in trouble. Then, if you dare to take on the bosses, even without breaking the formal rules, they just dispose of you, without any explanation or warning - mafia-style. The basic patterns of operation in mature criminal and authoritarian systems are remarkably close. But, I guess, there's so much written about it that my ruminations won't add anything to the subject.
The important lesson here is that I misjudged the "political" structure of the organization (stihi.ru). I mistook the freedom to criticize one's own peers, a common practice in authoritarian systems, for the true freedom of speech.
Another thing I forgot that in such a system the management doesn't play by the (written) rules and, moreover, the majority of the people feel this is the right way to conduct the business.
