watertankI bet we'll see closed private spam-free e-mail systems. Actually, e-mail as we know it today is going to be replaced by a content/communications management system that tracks different types of personal and shared media, e.g. mail, pictures, SMS, blogs, music, video, and etc.
LiveJournal had a reasonable chance to become such a system, but I think they blew it when they decided to go open, thus turning into a yet another blogging service.
